Orchard

In April of  2020, we’ve planted over 130 fruit trees and bushes.  Our orchard has a number of apple, peach, pear, cherry, and plum trees with a compliment of raspberry and blueberry bushes.  As the orchard matures, these fine fruits will be used for various wines and ciders, and also at our summer produce stand to be located at the foot of the historic hill. 

Apiary

To maintain the health and diversity of the ecosystem, we’ve added our own apiary in April of 2020 to the farm.

We’ve prepared happy homes for the hardworking bees so the can pollinate the plants and produce their delicious honey.

We’ve adopted a California variety of honeybee thanks to the education program at the U of I Extension in Sangamon County along with the expertise gained from the Prairie State Beekeepers Association.  

Fresh Eggs & Produce

As we continue to grow the farm, look for our fresh fruits, vegetables, honey, and eggs produced right here on the hill.  We’ll have the roadside stand located at the entrance at the foot of the hill
